Two point perspective

We did a building using the two point perspective in order to crate the 3D effect. We learnt how to draw it and what a vanishing points means.

These are the results!

Evening Forest Perspective Paintings

Using previous knowledge on creating shades of blue and perspective, students first used a blue and white paint palette to create shades of blue to create their evening sky.

First they added white,  little by little to their blue, creating tints of blue, to form each ring starting with blue only from the outside edge. The center was left white to act as the moon in their sky.

Once their painting was dry, students painted cone shapes for trees with black tempera paint.

Branches were then added using smaller brushes and final details (smaller branches and a bird) were then added on the last day with black sharpie.

Winter Bears!

We drew our bears on white drawing paper in pencil to start. I did a guide for them. Then added we add the texture for the fur by drawing lots and lots of lines with a fine point sharpie. Second graders colored in the eyes and nose with a thicker sharpie except for the little white highlight to create light reflecting off the bears eyes and nose.

Secondly, we divided the sweater in 4 parts and we decorated it creatting differents patterns.

And these are the results!

Christmas tree!!

2nd Graders made a nice Christmas tree in class!.

First of all, we did the shape of the tree cutting the “goma eva” in strips. After that, we made a few holes on the “goma eva” in order to pass the stick through.

At the end, we made the support with white clay and we decorated as we like it.

Finally, with modelling clay we decorated the christmas tree making the Christmas ornaments and the star.

Shark!

Today we learnt how to draw a shark. We used watercolors in order to make the shadows and lights.
